The new hospital complex in Vigo has obtained the BREEAM certificate in its Design Phase. A building of 280,000 sq m, with energy saving measures like the implementation of biomass heating, LED lighting, etc.
BREEAM certificate ensures the comfort comfort of users and workers as well as a good control of energy consumption. Post-construction phase is currently being developed to get the final BREEAM certificate. This final step will arise once the building is finished.
Some of the measures implemented in this building are the use of natural lighting, regulation and control of a central HVAC system or a system of air quality that allows different ventilation rates depending on the occupancy of rooms. Moreover, the good management of waste makes it more efficient.
You can find the BREEAM certificate in its official website.
