Animals are capable of controlling their temperature and energy consumption by pumping more blood, having main muscles in strategic positions or creating air currents with their winds. Could a building work in a similar way?
This project researchs how to translate the thermal behaviour of animals into a building, looking for new ways of energy saving and regulation in preexistent and new buildings. The analysis of animals’ strategies is expected to arise different and innovative solutions to improve current building services. Moreover, passive measures will also be explored.
